Pictures of Gideon

Amy (the Heroine of the day) with Tom and new baby boy (still without a certain name in this picture) in the delivery room shortly after the birth. Way to go, Amy!

Gideon getting his first bath, just a couple hours after discovering what it feels like to breath air.

New babies sleep alot! Turns out Gideon's no exception.

Amy, Tom and Gideon again. This time we're ready to go home with our little guy who is about 45 hours old.

Jacob greeted us at home, and was very excited to see Gideon and Mommy again.

The special connection; nothing is quite like the bond that mother and child share.

Grandma Tanner came all the way from Salt Lake to help us out. Thanks, Jan!

Let's Go Fly a Kite

I have this idea to do a series of illustrations on moms playing with their kids. It's only taken me forever to sit down and keep going on this, but here is #2 in my "Play" series, to go along with Stop Drop & Play from a previous post.

Hope you enjoy...and have a fun day with your kids!!

Snow Day & Other Photos

Believe it or not, our kids are Southern Californians! We went to an activity called "Snow Day" so they would get a chance to play in the snow. (Luckily, we did get to experience the real thing in Utah over Christmas!) Snow Day consisted of a small heap of what I believe were ice shavings from an ice skating rink for the kids to climb on. I found 2 things highly amusing: 1) it was crazy hot while we were there; all of the parents were hanging out in the shade and 2) the kids were using beach toys to play in the snow. Anyway, the kids had a wonderful time and I was happy to be hanging out in the shade instead of bundled up freezing in the real snow :)

A pathetic snowman, I know, but it was all I could come up with the conditions of the 'snow.'

End of snow day. Now on to some requested items from our adoring 'fans': Allison in her first dress-up dress from Grandma Omer.

A bigger family picture (even though the scan isn't too high quality)

And the other professional pictures from that photo shoot.
