Jacob's Song

I love this video! Turn up the volume to hear Jacob's smash-hits played on an egg slicer.

A few weeks in review

More random pictures from various events:

I convinced the family to go to the "Festival of Books" on the UCLA campus a couple of weekends ago. It was pretty fun! We heard some very animated storytellers share fun stories, saw a few authors read their books (ie. Laura Numeroff read If You Give a Mouse a Cookie), looked at many booths with books and literacy crafts, and watched some annoying kids' entertainers (which Jacob enjoyed immensely).

My cute family on the shuttle on the way to the "Festival of Books."

The kids and I snuck on a business trip with Tom in the small town of Paso Robles, CA. Although we didn't see a lot of Tom during the trip, I had great time with the kids!! We went swimming several times, went to the coolest new little library and a used bookstore, and enjoyed the park with a farmers market. And Jacob got a large dose of the Disney Channel in our room (good thing we don't have that at home or he'd never turn it off!) Here's some pictures at the hotel pool. (By the way, it was a highly successful trip for Tom--the flight testing they were doing went well and they learned a lot from it.)

My 29th birthday! Tom did a great job with the cake, which was finished and eaten at about 11 pm. I decided I wanted to do something different from the average day at home with the kids, so I invited our friends, the Murrays, to go to a local farm to enjoy the day. As you'll see from the pictures, most of our time was spent at the sandbox and playground, instead of looking carefully at the farm animals. I was just happy to have a change from the norm at a fun little place.
