Here she is!

Well, I guess we're a real family now :) We are the happy owners of a new (to us)...Honda Odyssey! The day has finally approached when I really do want a minivan. It has been so nice--love the automatic sliding doors. The kids LOVE it too. Guess we're ready for #3 to come soon; now it'll actually have a seat!

Healing Daddy

The kids say so many cute and funny things each day...this one stuck out as one I want to share:

During lunch yesterday, totally out of the blue, Jacob says, "I've been thinking. I really don't want Jesus to come [long pause] because I really don't want Daddy to be healed." This got my attention, as I tried to think of what ailment Tom has that needs healing...
Then he said, "I just really don't like how he looks without glasses. I want him to always wear glasses."
I was very surprised and said something like, "well, maybe Dad can decide if he wants Jesus to fix his eyes or not."

So I guess he was drawing on a conversation we had a long time ago when we discussed the Second Coming. In any case, I guess Tom won't be able to get Lasik any time soon--Jacob won't allow it.

Everything you wanted to know about our Christmas

So, if anyone was wondering just how our Christmas in Utah was...ready or not, here we are:

Christmas morning at the Omer's place.

Jacob was excited about picking out and giving a present to Allison.

And he was VERY excited about what Allison "picked out" for him.

Allison imagines the possibilities of beauty with her first dress-up gown from Grandma Omer.

Uncle Matt, recently returned from a mission in Hawaii, teaches Jacob about the ukelele.

So excited about Lightning McQueen from Grandma Tanner!

One of the kids' favorite activities at the Tanner's place was playing in the HOT TUB!

One of Tom's favorite activities with his family--singing with his dad & brothers, "The 5 O's" (minus one brother at the time)

The Omer cousins had a great time together!

Allison loves her Grandma Omer!

A cold trip to Temple Square to see the lights.

Walking through Temple Square in daylight.

Jacob was so happy to make a snowman! Thanks to Uncle Brian for going out with him!

A fun, quick sled ride with Grandma Tanner.

The Church History and Art Museum exhibit on the Tabernacle.

Tom & Jacob stay on the Strait and Narrow Path at The Church History and Art Museum.

Allison visits the manger scene at The Church History and Art Museum.

As you can see, we had a WONDERFUL time with our families!! We did all this and more, including many family parties and visits with old friends. Thanks to all who made our Christmas & visit perfect!!
