Play!

I thought I'd share my little illustration: I drew it as a reminder to myself that as a mom, it is important to just stop what I'm doing and PLAY with the kids! Laundry & dishes will always be there, but the cute little stages of my kids pass so quickly!

Easter 2007

We had a really great Easter! I was so happy that Jacob learned about the events surrounding Christ's Atonement and Resurrection. We had pictures hanging up about it and he could point to them and tell what was happening to explain Easter to us. My favorite was that he would show the picture of Mary looking up at Christ and he would quote her saying, "Master" when she saw him. It's so neat to see that he is learning what we teach in Family Home Evening!!

How fun to have a girl to dress up this Easter!!

After our egg hunt, things got ugly. I think this is one of the worst pictures of Allison, but it was so funny to turn around and see her scarfing down all the candy she could. After I've tried so hard to keep her from chocolate!! I underestimated her ability to open the plastic eggs. But hey, it was Easter!

Jacob had a grand ol' time looking for eggs.

I was so proud--I made an Easter dinner, complete with a ham! I guess since we moved away from family now we're on our own for holiday meals. It was kinda cool to make it all myself, but it would have been better to share it with some relatives! (We did invite the neighbors over but they canceled at the last minute.)

Random Photo Album

I thought I'd share some photos of the latest Omer happenings:

We headed to Tucson a couple of weeks ago for baby Abigail's blessing. We got to see Dave & Amber's new house and surroundings. We had a great weekend with them and Tom's Dad. We even had a fun drive, relying heavily on children's books on tape to keep us all entertained.

3 of the 5 Omer cousins: "Abbie", "Ali", & "Jake"

Our 3rd child: Anton Vargas. For the past couple of months, we have been taking care of 4 year old Anton. We pick him up from day care and watch him until his parents can make it home from work. His parents are in our ward and live in the same apartment complex.

Ready, Set, Grow preschool that we attend for Jacob. It's a free community preschool that's for moms and kids. Luckily, Allison can come with us and she is so cute when she follows the actions the kids are doing with the songs.

This is actually from their "Graduation Day" at preschool. It was the end of the session, but we have since started a new one. (Jacob's the 3rd kid in on the left)

All Aboard the Omer Train! A fun day at home. I was mopping the floors and the kids got creative. So cute!! Allison sure looks like she's having fun with Jacob's antics. Note the Superman outfit with cape.

Allison in jail. More of Jacob's doings...

Her current favorite pastime. She stands and whines at the chair until I put her up to play!

Allison is getting over pneumonia and has to receive breathing treatments through a nebulizer. Now that she's used to it, she is such a trooper during the sessions! It's so cute when she's singing under the mask :)
