I felt we deserved a little vacation from the everyday routine. So, I booked a hotel at a luxury resort and we lived it up!!

Actually, what really happened was we just tagged along on a business trip to Paso Robles with Tom. And we did live it up! A man at the swimming pool was laughing at Jacob, who was laying on a pool chair saying, "Mom, this is the life!"

This was Allison's first time "swimming", meaning I wasn't holding on to her the whole time. She really enjoyed it. I guess we'll be in the pool a lot this summer. (Especially since our condo has a pool right in front of our front window and nearly every time I open the blinds Jacob asks when the pool will be open for the summer!)

We had to say 'hi' to these fish and watch them swim around every time we passed by. We even got to feed them twice.

Jacob and I enjoyed several rounds of UNO on the balcony. I think he won every game and I was really trying!

I don't know if this was a bad call or not, but the closet was the perfect size for a sleeping newborn. I was happy to make it a "2 bedroom" room.

Allison passed out on the floor after all the fun. We had a fantastic trip, despite the fact that we didn't see much of Tom. Not pictured are visits to the cool library and park across the street from the hotel. We also got to go and see some of Tom's flight tests--the first time we've actually seen the company's planes flying in the air. Jacob was mesmerized as he watched.
All I know is that I wish I had a maid magically clean up after us while we are out exploring every day...
